Burlingham House day care service provides a pleasant and comfortable surroundings set in 22 acres of

beautiful gardens and woodland.

We have many bright and airy rooms for socialising, dining, activities and relaxation.

We also have a large conservatory overlooking our grounds. For those who wish to smoke, we have a designated area. 

Meals & Refreshments 

Meals at Burlingham House are relaxed, social and are served in our bright and cheerful dining areas.

Each meal is freshly prepared, nutritious, and served by our dedicated kitchen team. 

We offer a wide variety of cuisine choices and residents can also make special requests.

Refreshments are available throughout the day with tea, coffee, biscuits & cakes served in the afternoon.

We also cater for special diets and provide assistance with feeding as required.

Personal Care 

We provide high quality personal care. All of our staff are fully trained in providing personal care and assistance.

We try and ensure that our residents care needs are fully met whilst enabling residents to retain their dignity and that they are made to feel comfortable throughout the day.

Hairdressing, Chiropody, baths or showers can be arranged upon request and are charged for separately.

Our bath has a hydraulic hoist which residents may use independently or with assistance.

All of the WC’s at Burlingham House have been adapted for wheelchair use. 

Rooms at our resident's disposal include:

Burlingham House employs an Activities Co-Ordinator who has experience of working with the elderly and those with a diagnosis of Dementia.

Burlingham House provides a wide range of activities such as crafts, painting, drawing, sewing as well as space for playing cards, board games, laying puzzles etc.

In our sitting areas resident’s assemble for word games, bingo, quizzes or conversations or discussions on topical issues or exchange reminiscences.

During our initial interview with a potential Day Care resident we will always ask the person’s likes / dislikes, including activities, choice of music or other forms of entertainment, dietary preferences / requirements etc. These we will take into account in organising the daily activities and meals in order to suit the resident’s respective preferences.

With our high staff to client ratio there is always staff available to tend to our resident’s either in small groups or if required on a one – one basis.
